The teachers of the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching Art Disciplines have passed the scientific school of famous Ukrainian scientists in the field of art education, and now they are the authors of monographs, textbooks and manuals, which are used not only by BSPU applicants, but also by students of relevant specialties from all over the country.
2025-2029 - a complex research topic of the department Current principles of art and pedagogical education: historical experience and modern trends / Current principles of art and pedagogical education: historical experience and modern trends, which results in participation in scientific national and international conferences, publication of scientific papers in domestic and/or foreign (international) peer-reviewed professional journals included in the Scopus or Web of Science databases, a textbook, a collective monograph.
The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the importance of improving educational approaches in the training of art teachers, taking into account the historical experience and development of society. Analysis of the development of art and pedagogical education allows us to understand which methods, approaches and concepts remain effective. The theoretical and methodological aspects discussed in the topic will help to optimize the educational process, make it more flexible, and reveal current trends, namely the development of distance learning, interactive and multiartistic approaches to teaching art in general secondary education.
